If you are interested in your surroundings and the helping your community you will also be spoilt for choice – The Leighton Buzzard Society (01525 372525), the Greensand Trust and Friends Of The Earth, Fairtrade, archaelogical and historical groups, Rotary and Lions, and “I Love LB” group which does a great job encouraging us all to shop locally wherever possible.
Transport enthusiasts will only have a 5 minutes’ walk to Leighton’s own internationally-famous narrow gauge railway and Society at Page’s Park.
Senior residents will wish to head straight to the U3A and Rotary Clubs which can help with a wealth of information about how to get involved.
